The New York Times is seeking a Summer Technology Intern to join the infodev team.

What It’s All About…

The New York Times Information Development team is responsible for establishing and promoting the NYT Developers brand, managing our public APIs, hack days and developer events, as well the NYTimes open sourcing efforts.

Who Should Apply…

We’re looking for a talented and motivated intern to help out. Whether you’re a front-end engineer looking to build apps showcasing our technologies, a back-end developer who wants to work on our APIs, or a technical writer ready to document the intricacies of our APIs and open source projects, we’d love to hear from you.

Recommended skills / characteristics include the following:
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Science or related field
- Should be comfortable with a UNIX terminal + a scripting language of your choice.
- An aptitude for problem solving and getting things done
- Willing to learn on the fly and try out new technology and techniques
- Someone who can handle and thrive with a certain amount of autonomy
- Top-notch problem solving skills and solid judgment
- Passion for the NYT and digital media

The Gritty Details…
- This is a paid 10 week internship
- This is full-time, 40 hours a week
- Start date is early June to mid August
- Location is The New York Times headquarters in midtown Manhattan
