Executive Video Producer, T Brand Studio Job (New York City, NY, US)

T Brand Studio is a fast-growing team of energetic writers, strategists, producers, designers and developers creating branded content across all of The New York Times’s advertiser verticals.

The Executive Video Producer’s responsibilities are to lead video production for multiple branded content projects, including: conducting research, developing and managing partnerships with a network of production resources, leading client meetings, and brainstorming, concepting and/or executing branded video content. The Executive Producer will be held jointly accountable for the effective business and financial management of his/her programs.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- In collaboration with the Editorial Director, create and execute high quality branded content
- Supervise the video production process, including: review edit, and approve outlines, shoot scripts, production schedules, budgets, selects, graphics, music, rough cuts, fine cuts, final narration and final versions of all assigned programs
- Serve as main contact on all aspects of production for assigned projects, communicating project information to all relevant internal teams and external parties associated with video production
- Act as representative to outside organizations, maintaining relationships with external vendors, production companies and networks
- Travel to key locations for video production (estimated 35%)
- Ensure that each film is completed on time, within budget and to agreed artistic, branding and technical standards
- Update senior management team on a regular basis ensuring that projects are on schedule and budget and alerting if not
- Negotiate and work with production companies to stay within scope
- Secure all rights and licensing for each project
- Work closely with a web development team to ensure a seamless transition from finished video into a finished web page
- Ensure that the department is maximizing the potential of each project in all stages of production
- Share ideas and contribute to the direction of T Brand Studio
- Demonstrate honesty, responsibility, integrity and fulfillment of commitments

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- BFA, BA and/or MA TV, film, communications or journalism
- 7+ years production experience as executive producer, producer, writer or showrunner in film or video documentary, drama, general entertainment, informational and digital media
- Keen business sense, and an intimate knowledge of all aspects of film production, financing, marketing and distribution
- A demonstrated track record in creative execution and performance
- Experience managing a slate of multiple projects simultaneously
- Commitment to quality and attention to detail
- Proven record in delivering projects on time and on budget
- Demonstrated aptitude to work closely with video teams to represent departmental or corporate needs
- Demonstrated ability to manage the creative process from concept to launch
- Ability to work closely with related divisions including Editorial, Legal, Risk Management, Finance
- Experience in digital media workflows and technology
- Demonstrated ability to work face-to-face with client teams
- Experience in working in collaborative sales processes
- Knowledge of the social media and branded content landscape
- Thick skin and a top-notch sense of humor
