Job Description:
T Brand Studio is a fast-growing team of energetic writers, content strategists, videographers, designers and developers creating branded content across all of advertiser verticals, of The New York Times’s domestic U.S. and international editions. Our work spans a variety of forms — short- and long-form reported articles, documentary videos, interactive data visualizations, animations and more — and ranges from unbranded to branded.
Based in London, the Editor’s responsibilities are to lead editorial production for multiple branded content projects, including: conducting research; leading client meetings; brainstorming and drafting pitches for potential projects; writing and editing content for publication; as well as developing and managing our network of staff and freelance contributors.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

In collaboration with the Editorial Director in New York, oversee and execute on the development of quality content

Create high-quality branded content in collaboration with other team members including editors, writers, content strategists, producers and developers and other team members
-
Assign, oversee, execute, write and/or edit primary- and secondary-source reporting and writing for T Brand Studio projects
-
Develop forward-thinking branded content concepts for multiple verticals with a concentration on luxury goods but also including consumer, automotive, entertainment, financial services, healthcare, travel and/or technology

Coordinate with New York T Brand Studio
-
Lead client meetings to present editorial findings and content concepts
-
Co-manage a growing network of freelance and in-house writers, editors and related contributors across the EU
EXPERIENCE:
-
BA, BS and/or MA, MS in communications or journalism
-
8+ years of reporting and/or editing experience in a journalistic role
-
Business proficiency or fluency in French preferred
-
Preference for business journalists, particularly with beat experience in financial services and/or technology, as well as automotive, consumer, entertainment/media, healthcare, luxury and travel
-
Experience in digital media workflows and technology
-
Demonstrated ability to work face-to-face with clients and agencies
-
Experience in working in collaborative sales processes
-
Knowledge of the social media and branded content landscape
-
Numeracy is a plus, namely the ability to research and assess data to create visualizations, quizzes and other interactive experiences

Other preferred skills: copyediting; Adobe creative suite (basic familiarity or better); office applications (Word, Excel); editorial workflow systems
