Job Description:
Position requires developing technical solutions on the ServiceNow platform to satisfy the business needs of the IT department and beyond. Apply innovative technology to business processes in order to develop new solutions and troubleshoot issues as well as advising on options, risk and impacts on business processes and technical architecture. Design and review new requirements and new features based on business needs in addition to creating and/or reviewing various ServiceNow objects, data integrations, and reports using Service-Now platform.
Responsibilities include:
- Overall administration of the Service Now instance
- Design, develop, and maintaining integration with other applications such as Active Directory, Altiris, Casper, Jira, etc.
- Hands-on design, development and deployment experience with the Service-now platform and similar ITSM toolsets
- Create design/architecture plans and solution requirements, and deliver project capabilities
- Complete programming assignments in a timely manner consistent with the department’s quality assurance plan.
- Prepare requirement specifications and design documents
- Establish Service-Now configuration standards
- Facilitate the implementation and integration of all modules
- Facilitate and test all system updates and configuration changes
- Participate in design review with other team members
- Configuration of all application UIs, Workflows and notifications
- Deliver detailed design/architecture plans and solution requirements assessment.
- Provide leadership, mentorship and technical guidance to team members
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal team members
- Improve project delivery and provide recommendations for process improvement
- Ensure configuration consistency across development, test and production environments
- Effectively manage and prioritize implementation tasks effectively
- Excellent analytical and problem solving ability
- Strong work ethic, self-motivated and well-organized; able to work under pressure to tight deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality
Qualifications:
- BS Degree in Computer Science or related field
- 4+ years of IT experience
- 3+ years JavaScript experience
- 2-3 years in ServiceNow experience
- Experience implementing Service-Now modules including : Incident, SLA, Surveys, Change, Problem, Service Catalog, Configuration Management, LDAP, SSO, MID Server, Inbound emails
- Hands-on technical delivery including required documentation of cost-effective Service-now solutions using a number of technical skills such as HTML, XML, JavaScript/AJAX, Integrations (web services, SOAP, email)
- DAP, SSO and mid-server implementation and integration
- Experience in designing and developing SOAP and RESTful web Services.
- Good Understanding of ITIL v3 processes.
- Working knowledge of the web applications, networks, protocols and email
- Excellent verbal/written communication, excellent attention to details, ability to multitask, effective time management skills
- Project Management experience is a plus
