Conferences Marketing & Sponsorship Manager Job (New York City, NY, US)

POSITION:

A self-motivated event marketing leader who is charged with developing, marketing and managing compelling sponsorships of New York Times Conferences from concept to execution. Areas of expertise should include senior level project management, event management, and financial responsibility. This individual will possess an in-depth awareness of the event and conference industry and competition in the marketplace. Creativity and ability to think outside the box is a critical element in the success of this position.

Responsibilities:

- Development of strategic marketing positioning of Conferences and all relevant collateral.
- Ability to quickly create customized proposals for potential Sponsors collaboratively with Sales and Sales Development.
- Proactively work with the various Sales teams to guarantee outreach to appropriate companies.
- Management of all aspects of Sponsor activation once the account is sold.
- Creation of all recaps of the conferences for Sponsors including a video and printed recap.

Required Skills:
- Candidates must have demonstrated experience in end-to-end construction of custom sponsorship opportunities
- Proactive planning abilities. Creativity, credibility, and attention to detail.
- Proven experience juggling complex projects simultaneously. Ability to meet tight deadlines. Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to manage and supervise a team, and work effectively in a team environment.
- Demonstrated fiscal responsibility and computer proficiency, Ability to travel (as business requires).
