The Editorial Board is looking for a new writer with strong expertise in politics and national issues.
This is a job for a generalist — someone who will primarily focus on political issues but can also write about local topics with passion and flair. The specific areas of coverage are subject to discussion.
The editorial board is a collaborative group where beats can be shared and writers range around, from spot news pieces to longer-term projects. We're looking for someone who can write commentary in all forms — daily unsigned editorials for both the domestic and international Times, signed "editorial notebooks" and "observers" and quick blog posts.
This is a Group 0 Guild-covered job. The ability to write clearly, concisely and with speed are crucial. Travel is possible. And you get your own office.
