What It’s All About…
The New York Times marketing and consumer insight groups are growing and looking for star interns to help us out over the summer. Both teams play integral roles in the circulation business, helping internal stakeholders achieve their revenue, subscription, and traffic goals across products. If you are a current college student with superior academics and a major or concentration in brand or consumer marketing, or in research and analytics, consider applying for an opportunity to collaborate with a group of dynamic professionals in a world-class media organization, which sets the standard in journalism.
What You’ll Do…
- Assist in creating and producing various marketing promotions in support of NYT’s Corporate and Education group sales teams, across events, email, sales presentations and additional channels
- Research and present on online and offline methods of expanding B2B audience for both groups
- Work with sales managers across groups on revising vertical-driven sales messaging
- Support in the execution of events, including printing and shipment of booth materials and sales enablement
- Manage inventory of promotional items and research/recommend new items as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Who Should Apply…
- Pursuing a relevant BS or BA from an accredited 4-year university or college (Marketing is a plus)
· Familiarity and passion for NYTimes.com
· Comfortable working in a fast-paced and highly collaborative environment
· Have a keen attention to detail, be well organized, have strong analytical thinking abilities, and possess excellent communication skills
· Strong interpersonal skills
· Proficiency with the MS Office suite of applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
The Gritty Details…
- This is a paid 10 week internship (12 weeks for MBA students)
- This is full-time, 40 hours a week (35 hours for Marketing roles)
- Location is The New York Times headquarters in midtown Manhattan
