Senior Tracking Engineer Job (New York, NY, US)

Job Description:

A senior software engineer with proven experience in designing, automating and running a large-scale, real-time, data-heavy tracking application. Experience and understanding of infrastructure on AWS & Node.js is a must. Our platform ingests and analyzes hundreds of millions of records every single day, around the clock, in real time.

You will be responsible for the availability and the performance of our existing applications. You will also participate in designing and implementing improvements to the current system. We encourage "big thinking" so come ready with suggestions that can improve our product and even create new ones.

Who you must be
- Extensive Node.js experience is a must!
- Strong understanding of the AWS API, including the major endpoints for computing, security, network, and storage. (EC2, S3, Dynamodb ELB, RDS, et. al)
- You have a BS in Computer Science or other quantitative discipline
- You have 5+ years of experience in a relevant operational position
- You should be very comfortable with system-level engineering
- Solid understanding of and experience with infrastructure design, including but not limited to networking principles, storage, security principles, etc.

Bonus Points
- MS or PhD in Computer Science or other quantitative discipline
- Metric & analytics enthusiast
- Extensive experience in working with redis, python, c++ and extremely large data sets
- Experience with data mining, machine learning, statistical modeling tools and underlying algorithms
