Job Description:
Responsible for the management of the Times Online archives. Match archives to print and online stories and send to customers who subscribe to Times content. Ensure in house archive Times Past is updated nightly.
Responsibilities:
Reconcile web articles against electronic copies
Ensure tags have been properly placed and created
Enter data into database systems
Create nightly spreadsheet that counts all files that were in each section of the paper
Communicate with vendors via email and alert them of issues
Rank major stories for each section
Qualifications:
College degree preferred
Basic computer/data processing skills
Meticulous attention to detail (Editing)
Ability to meet nightly deadlines
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work a flexible shift including overnight, weekends and holidays
You will fit well in this position if:
You are willing and able to work a 10pm-5am nightly shift including weekends and holidays (20 hours per week)
You would enjoy working in a position where the same tasks are completed daily
You can manage your time effectively and can meet nightly deadlines
