Qualifications:
- Strong Java and PHP
- Strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms
- Must have experience developing JSON based RESTful Web Services
- Knowledge of HTTP
- Experience with Linux
- Experience with relational databases and NoSQL datastores
- Experience with HTML5, CSS, JavaScript
- Experience with jQuery and AJAX
- Basic knowledge of Spring and IOC
- Knowledge of development tools including Git, Jenkins, Maven
- Good communication skills
- Familiar with Agile development process
- Formal Computer Science background
Preferred but not required:
- Nice to have: Dropwizard, Jetty, Jackson
- Familiar with Tomcat, Apache, nginx
- Do you know Go? That may be interesting
- Experience with JavaScript frameworks/libraries including Backbone, Require, etc...
- Experience with Cucumber for PHP
- Experience with Python
- Experience with YAML, Puppet, and Vagrant
- Experience with Docker
- Experience with JUnit
- Best security practices
- Unit testing frameworks such as Mocha or Jasmine for JavaScript
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain web services and applications
- Ensure systems are developed with sufficient unit test coverage
- Work closely with QA to iterate on bug fixes
- See all changes through to production deployment
- Contribute to peer reviews of code
