T Brand Studio is a fast-growing team of energetic developers, engineers, designers and writers developing single page applications, compelling and accurate data-visualizations and engaging interactive experiences on multiple devices.
We are looking for a User Experience Architect to conceptualize programs from infancy through to design, development and implementation. This position is accountable for researching, introducing and establishing best practices on user experience and interactivity for all programs. The UX Architect will work closely with our creative teams to help brands leverage the multimedia storytelling power of The New York Times platform.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Define user experience requirements and ensure all interaction experiences are kept consistent throughout the design and development process
- Creation of detailed wireframes and low-to-high fidelity prototypes
- Maintain knowledge and research of the latest creative technology trends and UX methods, including the new standards and devices
- Support client relationships directly including leading client meetings and calls as they relate to technical executions and strategies
- Understanding project scope, adhering to critical project timelines and providing solutions/alternatives as required
EXPERIENCE:
- 4-5 years of interaction experience in User Experience Architecture
- 3+ years of publishing or agency experience preferred
- Proficiency with tools such as Axure, Omnigraffle, Sketch, HotGloo and Adobe Creative Suite
- Strong responsive web design execution experience with understanding of HTML, CSS and features of Javascript, as it applies to interaction design
- Strong portfolio showcasing experience with fluid grids that work responsively across all devices/platforms
- Ability to handle simultaneous projects, small and large, in a fast-paced environment
- Self-starter with ability to work independently as well as in cross-functional groups
- Proven skill in verbal and written communication; comfort with pitching ideas
- Thick skin and a top-notch sense of humor!
