Creative Technologist Job (New York City, NY, US)

As a creative and technically skilled member of the Sales Development team, you'll help plan, design, build, organize and execute innovative multi-platform advertising experiences across The New York Times’ web, mobile, and video ad products and create go-to-market collateral for those experiences and programs.

Job Requirements:
- Be highly skilled at creating storyboards, comps, prototypes, code and/or other descriptive artifacts of visual design necessary to guide development of beautiful, original, creative and useful and consistent ad product experiences from concept to implementation.
- Have an exceptional visual and typographic sensibility, paired with a knack for shaping efficient and effective ad product experiences across web, mobile, and video.
- Be able to conceive and execute all aspects of the design process both individually and by working well with other designers, developers, and producers.
- Brainstorm and collaborate with Sales Development team and other stakeholders to express cross-platform programs and experiences for clients.
- Articulate ideas in compelling market-facing collateral.
- Be confident and capable working collaboratively with many stakeholders from across the Times organization: advertising, product, news, and technology.
- [Present to and] update senior management on marketplace trends and competitive landscape

Experience Requirements:

· 2+ years of marketing / advertising experience

· Mastery of InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Powerpoint

· Proven ability and eagerness to produce great designs

· Demonstrated ability to juggle multiple projects

· Positive, enthusiastic attitude

· Have exceptional design and typography skills

· Excellent communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

· Knowledge of Adobe Muse, Wordpress and other open source CMS platforms is a plus

· Experience creating and working with wireframes, sketches, UI and final visual design for desktop, mobile ad tablet (and all production methods associated with each)

· Adobe After Effects knowledge

· Possess experience within the unique environment of a news/editorial product, interactive agency, or publisher
