Responsibilities:
- Drive, gather and document product requirements for digital subscription business and e-commerce engine.
- Create use cases, write software requirements specification documents, and create prototypes.
- Work closely with product managers, project managers, technical leads, information architects and other stakeholders to ensure products are developed.
- Work closely with product managers to prioritize product roadmap based on revenue, customer engagement and company’s overall strategic objectives.
- Monitor appropriate metrics and use them to improve products, generate incremental revenue and identify new opportunities.
- Identify bugs, find solutions, test and deploy fixes.
- Collaborate with technology, design, and editorial teams to optimize functionality and user experience.
Requirements:
- At least two years experience as in product management or business analysis on Web software development projects, preferably in e-commerce.
- Experience running requirements workshops, conducting interviews and other requirements elicitation techniques.
- Experience in user-centric product development and design.
- Familiarity with Agile development processes.
- Familiarity with online and mobile business models
- Strong written and oral communication skills including the ability to communicate between technical and non-technical personnel.
- Ability to take ownership of complex situations and mediate between competing interests, personalities and requirements.
- Excellent organizational skills. Ability to conscientiously manage and follow up on multiple concurrent tasks and requests on tight deadlines.
- Passion for high quality journalism
