Junior Business Analyst Job (New York City, NY, US)

We are looking for a candidate with strong financial & analytical skills to assist the sales compensation administration team with the overall process for quota setting, performance tracking and process optimization

Responsibilities:

- Manipulate, synthesize and extract multi-layered data into actionable information
- Develop data models, reports and templates
- Implement new structures and create or refine processes to maintain data integrity across several systems and databases, implementing rules to mitigate error and assure accuracy and consistency
- Continually assess day to day tasks in order to optimize, streamline and automate the process
- Assist with overall process from quota setting, performance tracking to process optimization related to the sales compensation administration
- Assist in maintaining sales data infrastructure needed for sales compensation administration
- Assist in modeling and forecasting financial projections and maintaining and updating key financial metrics

Qualifications:

- BS/BA Degree
- Strong financial & analytical background
- Experience in data analysis, database management and problem solving skills
- Possess critical thinking skills, quantitative and analytical problem solving skills with ability to interpret data
- Possess advanced Excel skills
- 3-5 years demonstrated experience in various data reporting systems, e.g., business objects software or other business intelligence tools, is preferred
- Ability to work under deadlines
