The Marketing Associate will be a member of the digital acquisition marketing team, supporting managers and directors on multi-channel marketing campaigns to drive subscriptions and audience to the New York Times. The Associate will have the opportunity to work with seasoned marketing and media professionals, extend his/her understanding of the discipline, learn how to develop media strategies across multiple channels and throughout the customer lifecycle, and work with teams across the New York Times to help drive the business.
Responsibilities include:
- Execution and management of marketing campaigns campaigns for NYT’s core and new products, across all channels including onsite, email and external channels, desktop and mobile
- Working with managers, draft creative briefs, prepare campaign codes, prepare campaign materials
- Execution and proofing of campaigns across products
- Tracking and producing regular reports on campaign performance (analyzing conversion, retention, ROI)
- Serving as marketing liaison to Customer Care, responsible for writing marketing alerts to inform Care agents of upcoming plans
- Maintaining and distributing marketing calendar across products and channels
- Coordinating meetings with vendors and agencies
- Researching industry trends/vendors to find new testing opportunities for external media
- Conducting periodic competitive analysis
- Catalog image assets used in marketing campaigns
- Helping manage invoices and accrual process across team
- Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders across business units
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications or related field
- 2+ years of experience in B2C digital marketing
- Extremely strong organizational, oral and written communication skills
- Entrepreneurial spirit
