This position is for those individuals who have wide range of interest and knowledge in both application development and system engineering space and who would design, build and maintain scalable and flexible infrastructure system for the world’s most established and recognized media.
Roles & Responsibilities
The successful candidate has an excellent understanding and/or strong experience in dealing with highly scalable web and middleware applications from http stack all the way to network, storage, virtualization and cloud infrastructure. The candidate would engage with development team to perform initial capacity planning, deploy systems to either private or public cloud.
The candidate would be involved in the following areas:
Develop highly scalable cloud architecture working closely with network and storage teams
Deploy systems and applications using VCenter, Puppet, mCollective, Spacewalk, Kickstart and other tools
Develop a comprehensive and effective monitoring solutions using Graphite, Nagios and Cacti.
Interface with development team and project team to ensure on time delivery of the applications to meet the business needs.
Bring in new ideas, new way of doing things, new tools to improve the overall efficiency of the platform.
Is a good team player, strong communicator, and most importantly passionate aboutmaking things better for developers and enjoy working with other peers.

Required Skills
Excellent with Linux/Unix and advanced Unix Commands (Redhat/CentOS)
Excellent understanding of interworking of Linux kernels, and how the OS works with underlying storage systems and networking devices.
Good understanding of data center operations and strong experience with capacity planning and cost modelling.
Strong experience with VMWare and Amazon Web Services.
Familiarity with Load Balancers such as F5 and Netscaler. Experience with system automaton such as Puppet, mCollective, Chef, Ansible or Salt.
Strong Experience with monitoring/visualization tool such as Zabbix, Nagios, Cacti, Collectd, Statsd and Graphite.
Experience with scripting languages such as Perl, Python, Ruby as well as shell scripts.
Good grasp of security concerns and compliances.
Experience with application development is a major plus.
Understanding of Scrum and agile methodologies.
Team player and collaborator, with peers as well as with customers (developers), and a strong individual contributor.
Excellent communication, documentation and organization skills.
