Job Description:
Responsibilities will include assisting in the procurement process, inventory management, tracking where the assets are deployed, asset disposal, refresh cycles and license tracking You will be required to think “outside of the box” to create and implement standard process and procedures around each one of these areas.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, maintain and oversee enforcement of policies, procedures around the procurement of hardware and software assets
- Collaborate with the IT End User management team to monitor report and manage all end user software license compliance on Company workstations, enterprise wide
- Remain informed on end of life and changes in “standard” workstation hardware products, including current and emerging technologies and prices
- Work with End User Engineers and vendors to help define workstation standards
- Use reporting and analysis tools to analyze asset purchases, as well as forecast future needs
- Compare licenses against audits to ensure the company’s legal compliance
- Track and maintain software licenses through preferred vendor and report variances of noncompliance to management Define and deliver reports on recurring basis
- Assist with frequent reconciliation of invoicing and asset tagging of inventory
- Assist associates with hardware warranty issues
- Compile, maintain and manage inventory of company software and hardware assets with the tools
- Work with business streams to assist in the quoting and ordering process
- Coordinate asset refresh cycle
- Manage the inventory of peripherals (mice, keyboards, etc) and order as needed
- Manage the Build Room to ensure assets are organized and accounted for
- Manage the equipment disposal process
- Partner with the desktop support organization to streamline asset tracking into their daily work
- Create and review reports as requested
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in an information technology technical support role
- Recent experience managing assets
- Familiarity of bar-coding-based asset management systems
- Experience managing enterprise licensing agreements with technology vendors (ie Microsoft, Adobe, etc)
- Strong written/verbal communications skills
- Ability to perform in a dynamic environment with changing schedules and priorities
- Capable of writing report segments and to participate in presentations
- Proficient knowledge of MS Excel and Word
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Entrepreneurial spirit
- Lifting small weighed objects; 10 pounds to 30 pounds
- Self-motivated and detail oriented
- Knowledge of Altiris and or Casper preferred
